The SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge was again sponsored by Michigan Tech in mid-March. A number of schools from the US and Canada competed to produce modified machines that were measured for endurance, efficiency, noise and pulling power. On Wednesday evening, March 12, the machines were on display at the Copper Country Mall. Members of the public, as well as other competitors, looked over the machines and talked about the engineering behind their designs.

As a courtesy to the participating students, smaller sized images are open for free download. High quality prints, along with downloads of the original images, are for sale through this site.
