The 2008 Talvi Tohinat ski race was held on Saturday, January 19, at the Michigan Tech Nordic Training Center. The races included a youth race, 5 and 10 km adult races, and a ski-jor with one or two dogs. The weather was good Keweenaw -- snow and temps around zero (F)!
The race is a fundraiser for the Keweenaw Land Trust (http://www.keweenawlandtrust.org), an organization devoted to protecting important pieces of land for the good of the greater Keweenaw community.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of prints and downloads through this site will be donated to the KLT.
