Members of the Michigan Tech Concert Choir and the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra, under the conducting of Dr. Milt Olsson, MTU, led the public in the sixth annual Messiah Sing-a-long at the Calumet Theatre. The event took place Tuesday evening, December 5, 2006.

A special highlight of the evening came when the Theatre's executive director, Jim Lowell, presented the prestigious John Cuddihy award to Dr. Olsson, in recognition of his many years of bringing fine music to the Keweenaw.

For many students in the choir and orchestra, this was their first introduction to the historic Calumet Theatre, built in the early 1900s. Additional musical scores are loaned to members of the audience for their use during the performance.
